All Hail the Name of…Obama?
The first reaction that comes to mind is, “Yikes!” That’s rather disturbing. There are people actually worshipping Obama, especially of course, in the world of Islam.
Some of the hype is probably just due to the fact that President Bush will be out of office. Then again, how much can you trust someone who sits down with known terrorists and leaders from enemy countries? I’m all for negotiation and peace to a point, but in the Muslim faith it is justifiable to lie in order to further the cause of Islam.
I’m not saying all Muslim’s are terrorists. A good friend of mine is Muslim. We just stay away from the topic of faith since we both know where the other stands. That always makes for lively conversations.
I wasn’t exactly thrilled with either candidate this election. But what are ya going to do? I think it came down to picking a lesser of two evils. I also think when all the excitement and hype finally settles, everyone will see the President-elect what he is: just another politician who knows how to talk a lot of rhetoric.
I’m not going to make up my mind about Obama until he takes office and shows his true colors. I try not to judge someone according to ‘first appearances.’ We all do on occasion, we’re only human. Either way though, I’m not afraid of Obama or what he’ll do. What’s that quote? “Fear only two: God and the man who has no fear of God.”
But really, reaching the point of worshipping Obama and replacing God’s name with his in Scripture and songs of praise meant for the Almighty? (The song I was thinking of in reference to my title is a hymn called “All Hail the Power of Jesus Name” )
Are people really that lost? Are we that blind and ignorant?
I’m definitely not perfect, but Lord have mercy. I wonder what He thinks when He looks down at the world today.

Without sources, and credible ones at that, this is speculation bordering on the necessity for a tin-foil hat.
